In early 2022, my time as a District of Columbia resident was coming to a close, and I decided to photograph all (or as many as I could find) of Petworth’s churches.
Petworth has an incredible number of places of worship—due, in part, to the neighborhood’s changing character. This project chronicles those changes. Sadly, I was not able to complete this project before I moved away from The District.
